The Aftercare Tour has officially started, and we got to be front and center at the sold-out Houston show! Nessa Barrett is one of our favorite artists, and finally getting to see her perform the songs from Aftercare live was a dream come true!
Ari Abdul
Ari Abdul opened up the show: her breathy sound is the perfect match to Nessa’s, and we can see why she chose Ari to open for her! The crowd absolutely loved Ari’s performance and were eating up everything that she gave them. Us included!
Not only is Ari’s voice incredible, but her energy on stage was amazing, and she took the time to interact with the crowd. We certainly left the show a massive fan of Ari’s and cannot wait to see her the next time she is in the area!
Our personal favorite songs were: ‘BABYDOLL,’ ‘Girls On The Internet,’ and ‘Taste.’
Nessa Barrett
Nessa, Nessa, Nessa… We are constantly in awe of her performances and are always so excited to see her when she comes to Texas. Not only did we finally get to hear the songs from her newest album, Aftercare, live, but she also played ‘gaslight’ and ‘heartbreak in the hamptons’ from her previous releases.
We also got to hear ‘BREAKFAST IN BED,’ although she did joke on stage that the only reason it’s on the setlist is because we, the fans, begged her. And honestly, good work to the fans because it’s a beautiful song that deserves to have a moment on this setlist.
It’s hard to pick a few favorite songs (because they are all so good), but from this set, we think our favorite would have to be: ‘MUSTANG,’ ‘AMERICAN BEAUTY,’ and ‘PINS AND NEEDLES.’
The Aftercare Tour Was One For The Books
All in all this tour is incredible and we need all of you to make sure you go and grab tickets to the show nearest you ASAP! You do not want to miss Ari and Nessa performing on The Aftercare Tour.
