Keeping it real is something Doechii isn’t afraid to do. We’ve heard it all from the rapper on her hit tracks like ‘DENIAL IS A RIVER’ and ‘CATFISH.’ Now, we’re hearing another vulnerable side of Doechii on ‘Anxiety.’ Before its official release, the ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’-sampled track went viral on TikTok, and the world took to the internet to make dances and trends to the new audio that seemed to spring out of nowhere. Like any great TikTok audio, ‘Anxiety’ grew into something more. Doechii heard the people and their demands for the full song to be released and officially dropped ‘Anxiety’ last week.
Doechii Is Curing Our ‘Anxiety’
To no one’s surprise, ‘Anxiety’ is an amazing song and is truly Doechii at her best since the release of ‘Nosebleeds’ after her GRAMMY win last month. Upon your first listen of the new song, you’ll hear that Doechii sampled one of our favorite throwback bangers, ‘Somebody That I Used To Know.’ Never in a million years did we think Doechii would sample this particular track and then rap on top of it, but it’s a hit that we can’t deny!

This song is truly so, so good, and we can’t stop listening to it. We’re also still streaming Alligator Bites Never Heal because, obviously! That album is full of so many incredible lyrical moments, and we’re so glad that ‘Anxiety’ is joining that list.

A heavy weight in your chest, your mind running a million miles per hour, or stress that can’t seem to go away – anxiety is something familiar to us all. We applaud Doechii for staying true and making us feel heard in her lyrics.
