Our Confessions After Hearing Confessions of a Loverboy
Now, with their new EP, Confessions of a Loverboy, officially out, we confess we are streaming the heck out of it. And to celebrate, we’re spilling our confessions as No Guidnce fans after hearing the project.

No Guidnce Is Opening Up R&B For A New Generation
When you think of R&B, your mind probably jumps straight to legends like Usher, Boyz II Men, Aaliyah, or Brandy. And while those icons shaped the genre, No Guidnce is bringing the genre back to the masses with Confessions of a Loverboy. The modern storytelling and relatable lyrics across timeless sounds truly make these guys a standout in the industry.
Take lyrics like “You better stop playing games with me, before I match your energy, because if you’re gonna do me, I’m gonna do me too.” The combination of smooth, classic R&B beats and sharp, relatable lyrics makes this EP an instant staple for the next wave of R&B lovers.
The Diversity Of Sounds And Stories In The EP Can’t Be Ignored
Confessions of a Loverboy truly showcases the many sides of No Guidnce. We’ve got songs with deep storytelling, tracks that highlight their insane vocals, and moments that push the boundaries of what R&B can sound like. From Jersey club beats to smooth ballads, they’re proving they’re more than just an R&B boyband—they’re genre-blenders, risk-takers, and true artists. And the proof is in the pudding—or, in this case, the songs. Just listen to Nostalgic! From the lush strings woven throughout to the remix-style outro, every detail elevates the track into a perfect blend of classic and contemporary R&B.
Also, the storytelling on this EP is so independent. Each song brings a fresh perspective, a unique emotion, and a distinct narrative, making it easy for listeners to connect with different tracks at different moments in their lives. We’re officially classifying this EP as timeless.
‘Break The Pattern’ Called Us Out (And We Deserved It)
The closing track of an EP is just as important as the opening, and ‘Break The Pattern.’ Chef’s kiss—a perfect closer. It’s all about stepping out of your comfort zone and taking those chances life throws at you. We love the groovy beat, the build-up, and the way the guys bring the emotions to life as if they’re hyping themselves up to approach a potential lover.
We confess: we don’t ‘Break The Pattern’ enough. We like our comfort zone, okay? But No Guidnce is so right—it’s time to take those risks. Plus, this track perfectly reflects how they are breaking patterns and redefining what it means to be a modern boyband.
We Have To Confess We Were So Ready For More Music
Confessions of a Loverboy marks No Guidnce’s first full project since their debut EP, Is It A Crime?, dropped in 2023. 18 months later, the boys are back, fully independent, and creating their best music yet. Since their debut, they’ve been on a whirlwind journey—global recognition, sold-out shows, and massive tour support slots for artists like Mahalia and SZA. And now they’re leading a new era of boy bands and reshaping R&B. We’ve waited long enough, and let’s just say, it was so worth it!

We Confess: We’re So Here For their salty era!
Okay, but have you heard ‘Lovers to Enemies?’ Maybe it’s time we all start embracing the lovers-to-enemies trope because this song hits hard. The track, heavily inspired by late ‘90s and early 2000s hip-hop and R&B, gives classic club anthem energy. And those lyrics? “So lower your tone, ‘cause I’ve got some ammunition of my own. I got hella propositions on my phone.” Oh, they did not come to play! We love a little (or a lot of) spice, and we are so here for this era of No Guidnce.
‘Lovers to Enemies’ shows how No Guidnce effortlessly weaves their British roots into their music, blending smooth R&B vocals with distinct UK tones and speech patterns. Whether it’s the conversational lyricism, subtle accent inflections, or the way they deliver certain phrases, their sound feels both globally relatable and authentically homegrown—bringing a fresh, London-infused twist to the R&B landscape.
We Need To Hear These Songs Live
If you’ve been keeping up with No Guidnce’s Instagram, you know they’ve been teasing rehearsal clips, and we are manifesting a tour announcement ASAP. The energy of this album would be so great to experience live.
Nobody Does Harmonies Quite Like No Guidnce
No Guidnce’s harmonies are truly on another level. The way their voices blend effortlessly, layering smooth and rich vocals over every track, is something you just don’t hear every day. In every single song, they bring a vocal chemistry that is unmatched. Their ability to weave intricate harmonies while keeping the raw emotion intact? Absolutely unreal. It’s giving Boyz II Men but with a fresh 2025 edge. No one is doing it like them.
