j-hope is unstoppable: news not just in. If we could describe him in one word, it would be “abundance.” From his eccentric style to his contagious laughter, everything is always more. He’s even had a title track called ‘MORE,’ but we suppose that’s beside the point. Hobi is generous with his work ethic, too. And in the midst of a very busy 2025, j-hope is back again with ‘Killin’ It Girl (feat. GloRilla).’
Since he returned from military enlistment in October 2024, Hobi has been so busy we can hardly keep up. We’re guessing you might feel the same, so here’s a recap of exactly how j-hope has been ‘Killin’ It’ lately.
‘Sweet Dreams’
j-hope came back swinging in March with ‘Sweet Dreams,’ a collaboration that no one saw coming but everyone needed. Teaming up with Grammy-nominated R&B king Miguel, Hobi traded the high-energy intensity of Jack In The Box for lush, late-night vibes. It’s been a few months now, and this song is never coming off our “Rainy Days” playlist, or our “On Repeat.”
‘MONA LISA’
Every ARMY remembers when they first heard, “I like my girls pretty, so fine, one plus the nine.” Or at least we do… ‘MONA LISA’ is completely addictive and we loved it from the very first listen. And that was before we dug a little deeper and discovered the wordplay and references to fan culture – two things we will literally never get enough of.
Hope on the Stage
Kicking off in Seoul and spanning North America, Mexico, and Asia, j-hope’s first solo world tour, Hope on the Stage, has been nothing short of legendary. We’ve loved seeing Hoseok unleash j-hope upon the world like this. The only thing we would change about this tour is to make it never-ending. Oh, and give ourselves VIP tickets to every show. So we guess there are two things we’d change.
‘Killin’ It Girl (feat. GloRilla)’
Did BTS really need to give us another reason to be completely obsessed with June 13th? Well, here’s Hobi doing it anyway. At 1PM KST, 12AM ET, j-hope and GloRilla will release ‘Killin’ It Girl,’ and here’s what we know so far. The track is being described as a hip-hop track that is both fearless and minimalistic, and encapsulates the feeling of love at first sight. So that’s a hat-trick of love songs from Hobi in 2025?!
What Else Is Up Next?
Well, we have the final shows of Hope on the Stage this weekend at Goyang Stadium in Seoul. Let’s all address the elephant in the room: these shows coincide with BTS’ 12th anniversary, the release of ‘Killin’ It Girl’ and the military release of four BTS members. We suggest you clear out your calendars, because we’ve certainly done so!
