Ed Sheeran – ‘A Little More’
This may just be our favorite music video, not just of this year, but of the last several years. If we are going back to the roots of Ed’s career and including Rupert Grint (aka star of the ‘Lego House’ music video) in a video, then perhaps Play will be reminiscent of +. Perhaps there are some parallels here that we can’t wait to unearth! ‘A Little More’ is our standout track from Play thus far.

Avery Cochrane – ‘Shapeshifting on a Saturday Night’
We have had Avery on our radar for a while after finding her teasing this track on TikTok, and the final version is everything we could have wanted and more! Avery is an up-and-coming pop artist from Seattle, and everything about her screams pop star. If you aren’t convinced simply by our recommendation, ‘Shapeshifting on a Saturday Night’ will convince you!

Laufey – ‘Snow White’
Wow, ‘Snow White’ packed quite the lyrical punch. Of course, it comes as no surprise to us that Laufey can achieve such beautifully heartbreaking songwriting, as it’s a common thread through her music. ‘Snow White’ is a track about exploring your deepest fears, your inner thoughts, and exploring how you feel you’re perceived. Whenever we need a good cry, we will turn this one on at the highest possible volume.

Alex Warren – ‘Ordinary’ (ft. Luke Combs)
When we were watching the livestream of Luke Combs’s set, we originally thought he was just covering ‘Ordinary,’ which in and of itself is incredible! What happened next was a collaboration we never knew we needed, as Alex Warren joined him on stage! Alex and Luke’s voices blended magically and created what has to be the best version of this song we’ve gotten thus far.

Lydia Night – Parody of Pleasure
Lydia Night is a full-blown superstar, and we don’t feel like we even need to convince you, because one listen through of Parody of Pleasure will do just that! This record truly feels like you’re watching an artist fully come into their own as an artist. Which, for Lydia, may ring true, as her music before this was with a band. ‘The Bomb’ is our current favorite track.

Daya – ‘Agnostic’
This week’s new music round-up is rounding out with Daya! Daya is an artist that we have watched truly reinvent herself as an artist, going from more “bubble gum” pop to tracks like “agnostic” that feel true to self and like they play with genre a bit more. ‘Agnostic’ comes from Daya’s upcoming album, Til Every Petal Drops, which will be ours come October!
