Nothing compares to a K-Pop concert. The atmosphere is just so unique from other genres, especially if you’re attending a show of a group full of vampires. There’s an extra special aura in the air when you listen to songs that are deeply attached to romance, desire, temptation, and sacrifice.
If you haven’t guessed it already, we’re talking about ENHYPEN’s performances! We got the pleasure of attending the first two dates of their U.S leg for the WALK THE LINE world tour, and let us tell you that we cannot stop thinking about the group! We were extremely blown away by every single performance, the hype, and the excitement throughout the crowd and the seven members alike. Let’s go over these spectacular two full nights of pure talent by one of our favorite K-Pop groups, and our favorite bits from this tour!
The Greatest K-Pop Discography Came To Life!
We believe that ENHYPEN’s discography is absolute god tier, so we knew we were going to have an amazing time regardless of what songs they performed. And we were correct! The WALK THE LINE tour setlist includes nothing but bangers from every ENHYPEN era, such as classics like ‘Given-Taken,’ ‘Tamed-Dashed,’ ‘Sweet Venom,’ ‘Future Perfect (Pass the MIC)’ and ‘Bite Me,’ as well as newer additions that blew our minds, like ‘Brought The Heat Back,’ ‘No Doubt,’ and ‘Loose’ (we completely lost it with this performance). We’re so grateful that the setlist was so varied. It was a real celebration of ENHYPEN’s past, present, and future, which is what this tour is all about!
We got to hear some of our personal favorites right in front of our eyes! If you’re a MEMORABILIA lover and a ‘Moonstruck’ enjoyer, you will have the time of your life, just like we did! No matter how much we hype up these songs, seeing our favorite seven boys performing them live were life-changing events, and we felt so emotional seeing their star presence during the subunit stages. Also, if you’re a fan of ENHYPEN’s ability to play other instruments beyond their voice and their choreography, get ready to see HEESEUNG and JAY shine with their piano and guitar solos! We’re so proud of how much ENHYPEN has grown!
Every Aesthetic Was Perfection!
Of course, we’re talking about ENHYPEN here, and if we know something about them, it is that they curate every detail to make sure that the concert flows like a single story. We fell in love with how every single aesthetic matched the songs that were about to be performed.
For example, since the shows started with very high-energy tracks, the seven members wore black outfits that represented the vibe to perfection, as well as including powerful stage production, such as confetti and fire effects.
As we kept going through the setlist, we got to the section that included all the summer-y, unmatched-fun music, and the members changed to more laid-back clothing to jump around with every ENGENE that attended the shows. Following that, there was a section that reminded us of magic and enchanted charm, where they changed to grey outfits that very much resembled their magnetic royalty (and vampiric) vibe. It was so great to see how they elevated their performances with all these elements!
The Energy Was Unbelievable!
No one should question ENGENES. They will make sure that ENHYPEN knows how incredible they are. That’s precisely what happened at the NY stops! Every single member got so much love from the crowd, as well as passionate singers following along every verse. The boys definitely knew how excited everyone was! They talked so many times during their ments about how loud the audience was and how grateful they were to be back in the U.S. and enjoy unforgettable nights with ENGENE. We saw how much fun they were having on stage: they kept smiling throughout the whole show, especially during ‘Go Big or Go Home’ and its fanchant! We will never forget how much effort and hard work they put into their performances, and they deserve to be praised forever!
The Encores? Way Too Much Fun!
One of the many highlights from the WALK THE LINE tour is that the surprises are endless. You might be prepared to follow the setlist to the T, but the encores are entirely free for the members to have one (or more) last goodbye(s). For night one, ‘SHOUT OUT’ and ‘Paranormal’ were the chosen tracks, which were the perfect ending to a perfect show; but for night two, ‘Helium’ (!!!!!!!!) was added to the encore roster. As it’s one of our favorites from DESIRE : UNLEASH, we completely lost our minds! After those songs, we thought the show was over, but the members came out one last time to repeat ‘Go Big or Go Home!’ The entire arena went wild, and, of course, after the group left the stage for real, nobody wanted to leave, just in case they wanted to come out to perform again.
If you’re attending any of the remaining WALK THE LINE dates, remember that the last section of the show will definitely surprise you!
