Doja Cat is just that girl, and has always been that girl. From ‘MOOO!’ to Scarlet and now ‘Jealous Type,’ she’s always going to be bringing us hit after hit. She’s also the queen of leaking snippets of her own songs on TikTok or Instagram Live, and then dropping the full song a few weeks later. It’s a genius marketing tactic, and guess what, we’ll fall for it every time. Once we heard a small snippet of ‘Jealous Type,’ we knew we were locked in.

This song is truly what we’ve been needing from 2025. Whenever there’s a drought in music, Doja Cat knows how to stir things up. Other pop and rap singers definitely need to be jealous!
The song immediately starts off with the chorus, which we love. There’s no time to waste when it comes to Doja! The vibes of ‘Jealous Type’ give the same energy that Planet Her did in 2021, which is 100% a positive sign. It’s the perfect mix of Doja’s signature pop sound that we know and love and also a new experimental sound that gives us a taste of what we might hear on her upcoming album, Vie.

Ma Vie World Tour
From out of the blue, it seems, Doja Cat announced a new album and a new tour. Doja Cat’s fifth studio album, Vie, drops on September 26, 2025. So far, we know that there will be 15 new tracks, including ‘Jealous Type’ as Track #2. You can pre-save Vie here!
She’ll be performing in Auckland, Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Manila, Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo, Bangkok, and Kaohsiung on this leg of the tour. We’re crossing our fingers that she’ll also announce other dates for the United States and Europe! Even if we have to wait until 2026, she’ll definitely still be seeing us in the front row.
