WOODZ has always had a unique artistic presence in the music scene and has easily captivated fans with his exceptional expressive side. We can always expect something that will be an instant save and favorite for us, songs that will simply get us hooked. And that is what WOODZ presented to us with his full album Archive. 1. Yes, not just a mini or a single, a whole album with 17 outstanding tracks to go through.
With how rare it is for artists to give out such a large number of tracks in a single release, we were both quite pleasantly surprised and absolutely ecstatic about this release. And it got even better once we listened to the track list. The verdict? Archive. 1 is an absolute experience that is unapologetically and brilliantly WOODZ.

Diving Into ‘Human Extinction’
WOODZ’s songs stand strong on their own with how their sound alone captures the senses, and fully gets us wrapped through his emotional vocal delivery. While that is a fact we’ve experienced countless times, we can’t ignore just how equally stunning his accompanying music videos are. Title track ‘Human Extinction’ is the perfect example from Archive. 1, as it not only has us listening but also grasping the complexity behind the song, its message. And WOODZ delivered many messages to us through his music that we can confirm have gotten us in our feels.
‘Human Extinction’ focuses on the human nature, including the darkness within and how people try to conceal it from the world. Who would want their secrets or innermost thoughts laid out for others to see, and how would dealing with them look like? The meaning behind the title is not so literal but it’s more about losing ourselves in different ways. In the music video, WOODZ appears as a seemingly invisible being, observing normal people closely as they face various struggles. We definitely got pulled in and felt the intensity and shadow cast by the song. A heavy yet strongly relatable piece that thrives with its honesty.
The Contrasting ‘NA NA NA’
Compared to ‘Human Extinction,’ the second focus track from Archive. 1, ‘NA NA NA,’ takes us on a completely different experience. A lighter, brighter piece that has us jumping and following along to the rhythm. Crowd (us) really does go wild when this song starts playing and that’s simply the appropriate response. It just shows just how diverse WOODZ‘s sound is, as well as the variety of emotions he can pour into his music. And this is just a taste of what Archive. 1 has in store!
Archive. 1, Our New Anthem
WOODZ makes it impossible to pick only one favorite song from Archive. 1. And that’s how we know he’s done an incredible job! He plays with genres, bringing forth many different sides of him as an artist. We definitely hear the rockstar in him in more than one of the tracks, and who expected to hear those screams in ‘Stray’ because we were not ready! But fast paced tracks are not all that you can find in this album. Emotional, relatable, truly songs that will play with the heartstrings and we love when music does that to us. It makes us feel connected, heard, validated.
