Making Our Hearts Go ‘Chk Chk Boom’
We think a lot of STAYs would agree that ‘Chk Chk Boom’ is suchhhhh a Hyunjin song! He came right in and owned that era with his confidence and this iconic red look, which centered around bold glasses and an oversized cardigan. It sounds simple but it immediately catches your eye, matching the fiery energy he brought to the song. It was so iconic that a lot of fans have even recreated it for concerts!
This Styling Is ‘So Good’
It was hard to pick between the two looks that Hyunjin rocks in the ‘So Good’ music video, but we ultimately decided on the bold second outfit! This look was so fun and leans into an aesthetic that we don’t see Hyunjin wear often. The layering and accessories add some interesting edge to elevate things. The only thing we’d change about this look is adding the fake piercings he wears in the beginning of the music video!
Artist & Fashion Icon Of The Month
To reference another Post Malone song, our initial reaction to Hyunjin’s Studio Choom dance spotlight video set to Post’s ‘Motley Crew’ was a near-speechless, ‘Wow.’ They featured him as their Artist Of The Month in October 2021 and every moment of his performance was absolutely stunning. His outfit perfectly bridged his edgy and elegant sides, pairing a sleek suit with fake tattoos and chains. Get you an idol that can do both!
Get Him To The ‘Back Door’ Of A Runway, Stat!
This performance of ‘Back Door’ on Show Champion lives in our heads rent-free, especially because of the effortlessly cool styling. Hyunjin’s outfit pairs a sharp jacket with a graphic tee, cool sweatpants, sneakers, and a nice baseball cap. We love the contrast between the more formal jacket and the athleisure vibes of the rest of the look! Of course, his iconic blond hair makes it even more unforgettable.
Eating Up On The dominATE Tour Stage
STAYs have called Hyunjin a prince forever, and rightfully so, but his embellished white costume from the dominATE Tour might just be the ultimate proof of his regal energy. The horizontal lines down the front almost remind us of a marching band suit, which makes total sense given how he commands the stage like a marching band leader would. Meanwhile, the clusters of gems around his shoulders emphasize his clean movements as he dances. Genius!
A Truly Fire Outfit
Fire isn’t really the word for this look – more like exquisite – but it’s really a standout when we look back at Hyunjin’s dance videos! In his video dancing an original choreo to Sam Tinnesz’s ‘Play With Fire,’ he looks really ethereal wearing an elegant white button-up with a flowy cape. The cape highlights how fluid his movements are until he takes it off to show off his sharper moves. We also love the cool texture on the shirt, which keeps things interesting after the added layer is gone.
