BTS has continued to get us hyped for ARIRANG with their “WHAT IS YOUR LOVE SONG?” global campaign! From billboards to graffiti to the lucky ARMYs who got to visit the flower installations in New York, Seoul, and London, the promo for this album has been on another level. As if the whole world wasn’t already anticipating BTS’s return!
BTS’s focus on their “WHAT IS YOUR LOVE SONG?” concept got us thinking. What are our favorite BTS love songs? So here are seven of them!
‘Boy With Luv’
Listen, what else could we possibly start this list with? The clue is in the name! ‘Boy With Luv’ was a crucial point in BTS’s journey to global domination, and is still amongst their most popular hits! It has over 1.3 billion streams on Spotify, and we’d bet we’re a decent chunk of them.
‘Best Of Me’
What could be more romantic than always wanting to give someone the very best version of yourself? That’s why ‘Best Of Me’ has to be one of our favorite BTS love songs! Although it doesn’t hurt that this song always reminds us of the infamous 190811…
‘Just One Day’
Next, we’re going all the way back to 2014 with ‘Just One Day.’ This song was one of the first times we saw BTS’s sweet, romantic sides, and we’re still completely obsessed with the chair choreography even 12 (twelve?!) years later.
‘My Universe’
Every ARMY remembers where they were when the ‘My Universe’ music video dropped! BTS’s collaboration with Coldplay is one of our favorite crossovers ever, and Coldplay’s fondness towards the song only adds to our own love of it, too.
‘DNA’
Imagine being so certain in your love for someone that you bring maths and science into it. Well, that’s exactly what BTS did on ‘DNA,’ which equates (ha) love to a cosmic order, religious law, and mathematical formula. And these are the standards we’ll be holding onto.
‘We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal’
This time, it’s a love song for ARMY! On BTS’s magnum opus, Map Of The Soul: 7, is the most recent iteration of their ‘We Are Bulletproof’ series. This time, instead of the hard-hitting defiance of its predecessors, ‘The Eternal’ is a love letter to the “seven winters and springs” ARMY and BTS had spent together to that point.
‘Dimple’
BTS sang the word “ille-girl,” and truly changed the trajectory of our lives. This vocal line unit track will live in our hearts forever and always. You know what? We are so cute that it should be illegal, they’re right.
