The last time The Maine did a full headlining tour was back in 2023… So you can only imagine our surprise when the notes crossed our desk that they’d be doing it again in 2026. We did in fact choose The Maine! And we’d do it over and over and over again. They’ve been a part of our playlists for so long, and the fact that they’re back for another full tour feels so good.

With the release of their tenth studio album, Joy Next Door, right on the horizon, it only seemed fitting that the Arizona-based band take on a tour. And of course, the setlist did not disappoint! Although they included some of their more notable hits like ‘Sticky,’ ‘Taxi,’ and ‘Black Butterflies and Deja Vu,’ they also included some songs we’d never thought we’d hear again like ‘Kennedy Curse.’ Yep, you read that right!
Being at this show, despite there being songs off their not-yet-released album on the setlist, it felt like we had been transported back to the early days of The Maine.
At this particular stop in Los Angeles, The Maine brought out Charlotte Sands to sing ‘Loved You A Little’ which I think really set the mood for the rest of the surprises the band had in store.

And with the same concept of special guests on this tour, The Maine brought out all the opening acts to sing along to ‘Take Me Dancing.’ Grayscale, Franklin Jonas & the Byzantines, and Nightly all took the stage, singing both background vocals and bringing the vibes to the song. There was dancing and singing coming from the stage and the audience. It felt like it was just us and 2,000 of our closest friends singing in one big room.
To say that we love the Maine would be a total understatement, considering we would still follow them to the ends of the Earth despite their impromptu time off from 2023-2026. And although those three years with no live TM shows were lonely, we know that it gave them time to give us their upcoming album, which will no doubt be in our top 10 most-played albums of the year.
Do you have tickets to the I Love You, But I Choose The Maine tour? If you don’t, there’s still plenty of time to get your hands on a ticket… or five! (Just saying– bring your friends!)
