Everyone here in the hive knows we are huge Aidan Bissett fans, so when we saw he was performing at The Anthem in Washington, D.C., we knew we had to be there. All day, we met fellow music friends outside the venue and even saw Aidan taking pictures with fans, too. What a surprise and a great way to kick off the day for superfans! Did we camp all day to be on the barricade? We sure did. Did we sing every lyric to every song on his setlist? We sure did. By the end of the night, we were walking on air and running on so much adrenaline that we were practically buzzing with anticipation for Aidan’s set. The Setlist
What an amazing energy Aidan brought to The Anthem’s stage! Even for fans in the crowd who didn’t know Aidan’s music very well, they were still dancing, cheering, and singing along where they could. Super fans, on the other hand, got to hear all of their favorite Aidan Bissett songs live, see him shred the guitar alongside his talented band, and even get an up-close interaction with him. Dancing On The Barricade
Aidan will always find his biggest fans, even in a huge crowd of 2,500 people. Luckily, they were right there on the barricade singing every word with him. During ‘Tripping Over Air,’ Aidan jumped down from the stage and onto the barricade to be as close to his fans as possible. The crowd went crazy, and the energy he gave to the lucky fans right up front was electric. See the moment here, in which he captioned the video “when barricade matches my energy>>.” If there is one thing we’re good at, it’s matching the energy of any artist who is on stage, even if we’re squished up against a metal barricade! In fact, that’s the best time to do it.
