Getting To Know The Opening Acts
Kehlani always has some of the best opening acts for her tours. In tours past, we’ve seen Rico Nasty, Destin Conrad, and FLO take the stage. This time around, Durand Bernarr, Isaia Huron, TheARTI$t, and WASEEL will join as the supporting acts. If you’re a new listener to some of these artists, we’re here to put you on (as we always do). Duran Bernarr is known for working closely with the legend Erykah Badu. Stream his song ‘Overqualified!’ to get to know his vibes. Isaia Huron has been an artist we’ve been loving lately. You can stream his recent album release, Mr. Lovebomb, for a taste of what he will bring to Kehlani’s tour. TheARTI$t is a new one for us, but we took a listen, and we loved what we heard on ‘Shut It Down.’ Finally, WASEEL is a DJ and a producer, and definitely one to get to know prior to Kehlani’s tour.
Memorizing Every Lyric To KEHLANI
Making sure we know every lyric to every song on KEHLANI is of top-tier importance. Yes, we all know all the words to ‘Folded,’ but there are so many more great songs to get to know, especially off this new album. One of our favorite songs on KEHLANI is ‘Still,’ so if you need a recommendation, start here. But we highly encourage you all to get to know every song from the new album. The lyrics are relatable, the melodies are intoxicating, and it’s pure R&B at its finest. But don’t worry, we’re sure Kehlani will perform some classic hits and other deep cuts from past projects, too.
Brainstorming Our Fits
The theme is old school R&B. We’re talking low-rise baggy jeans, white t-shirts, big hoop earrings, belly chains, and of course, the hats similar to those worn by Kehlani in the tour poster. We’re also keeping it cool-toned. Picture deep reds, purples, and browns. One thing to know about Kehlani fans is that they always dress to the nines at her shows. Baddies everywhere! You never know who Kehlani will lock in on in the crowd, so we all have to be beat down to the gods and looking our best. Our Pinterest board brainstorming starts now!
Planning Our Concert Trip(s)
Plural. Because we want to go to more than one show, duh. That means we might have to plan a little road trip with our Kehlani mutuals. Should we pack up the car and drive to New York? Or should we fly out to San Francisco for closing night? There’s really no wrong answer, and we’re willing to go absolutely anywhere! If you want to join us on our road trip, leave a comment!
