Explosive Action Scenes
If you’re looking for a fast-paced thriller where you really can’t trust any character, we recommend The Kings of Vegas! We especially love books that read almost like movies. The action scenes are well written and explosive, sometimes literally. Those with the wrong kind of information get taken out of the equation easily. And we soon learn that no one’s safety is guaranteed in this thriller. Much like Josie, we kept looking over our shoulder and bracing ourselves for whatever came next.
Josie’s Icon Behavior
Another one of our favorite things about The Kings of Vegas is Josie and the absolute boss that she is. It’s all about who you know to get things done, and the Kings’ reputations speak for themselves. But Josie’s family casino is on the verge of ruin when she learns about her brother Frank’s gambling debt. It doesn’t help that certain people in power are controlling the casino’s finances behind the scenes. Luckily, Josie isn’t afraid to get dirty or violent to get to the bottom of things. And we live for it!
Unraveling The Plot
Finally, The Kings of Vegas has an intricate plot that Josie uncovers so well. Though she could’ve been more covert at times, she has the brains and guts of a formidable main character. Her brother Sam and her family’s former head of security Moe are some Josie’s greatest allies. True ride-or-dies. From staking out secret hideouts to calling in all her favors, Josie doesn’t stop until she gets what she wants. The road to save her family’s casino is beyond violent and rough, but the ultimate prize is worth the trouble.
