Lollapalooza! Y’all brought the energy throughout this rainy day even with delays!
SLAYYYTER
We started our day off with Slayyyter at the Budlight Stage. At 2:45pm she took the stage with ‘DANCE…’ and the high energy of the crowd never let down. Slayyyter offers a high energy electropop and hyperpop sound, which has done exceptionally well during this years festival run. Slayyyter was one of the highly anticipated sets of today’s lineup, and she did not disappoint. Fans danced and sang along to favorites such as ‘CRANK’, ‘OLD TECHNOLOGY’, and ‘CANNIBALISM!’.
I-DLE
Running over from Slayyyter, i-dle was performing on the T-Mobile main stage. i-dle (formally known as G-Idle) is a South Korean girl group formed of members Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua. We have been waiting to see i-dle perform since their rebrand and getting to see them at Lollapalooza was a dream! Loyal fans of i-dle ran to the barricade right when the doors opened and patiently waited for them to take the stage. We love seeing dedicated fans being able to see their favorite artists!
IVRI
Next, we watched ivri on the BMI Stage. This is one of our favorite stages to watch artists simply because of the shade it offers because of the trees surrounding the stage. ivri is an alternative rock artist with shoegaze and dream-pop sounds. We even had the chance to interview ivri before her set! Crowd favorites of this set were ‘loser :(‘, ‘slip & let go’, and of course ‘tower of memories’. We even got to hear ‘SABOTAGE’ and ‘THE GOLDEN RECORD’ which are new songs off ivri’s new ep evidence of you that released the same day.
ZARA LARSSON
After a set delay due to rain and weather conditions, Zara Larsson took the T-Mobile Main Stage at 6:20pm with ‘Midnight Sun’. Even though there was gloomy weather, Zara made sure to make it feel like the sun was shining. We love getting to see Zara perform, and seeing her success and growth makes us tear up every time we see her!
CHARLI XCX
This brat summer is slowly coming to an end, but the energy will always be high at a Charli xcx set! From seeing her share the stage with Lorde just the night before, we knew we were in for a treat. Starting off the night strong with ‘Rock Music’, we wish we could stay in this pit forever. Charli xcx brings electro-pop, dance-pop, and hyperpop music while making sure the crowd energy stays on 100% the entire time. We loved being able to listen to our favorite songs, alongside new ones from her newest album Music, Fashion, Film.
