Chicago we are here for Lollapalooza and we are so excited to give you all the buzz that we encounter at this year’s festival!

Day 1 was filled with brand freebies, delicious food, and lots and lots of live music. We started off our day at Between Friends on the Budlight Stage. We have been fans of this brother-sister duo for a long time now, and have even had the opportunity to interview them in the past. Starting with ‘You & Me Time’, their loyal fans immediately started to sing along. We love getting to see our favorite artists perform at such big festivals like Lollapalooza!

After Between Friends, we had some time to cool down, and what better way to do that than at Liquid I.V. Flavor House! Festival Attendees can scratch and sniff a flavor card while waiting in line to enter the flavor house. Once going into the booth, fans are able to taste different flavors of Liquid I.V. in different ways. First was a freshly made Rainbow Sherbet drink. After finishing that drink, we were led into another room where we were given Raspberry Lemonade Jell-o shots. These were a great way to show that your favorite Liquid I.V. drinks can be transformed into more than just flavored water! We were then led into the final room which had Ring Pop flavored slushies. Our favorite of the day had to be Raspberry Lemonade Jell-O Shots!
We then headed over to catch 5 Seconds of Summer at the T-Mobile Stage. Words cannot describe how proud we are of them and getting to see them on the Lollapalooza’s main stage was surreal! Opening with ‘NOT OK’, 5SOS made sure to set the bar for the energy of this afternoon’s set.
Midway through their set, 5SOS were placed on 4 rising stages at the end of Front of House stating “Real Fans Save Bands” and “Real Bands Save Bands” on each side. In CALM order (yes, we shed some tears), 5SOS were able to have an intimate moment with the crowd. When they returned back onto the main stage, we were surprised even more when the intro of ‘Teenage Dream’ (a well known cover originally sang by Katy Perry for OG 5SOS stans) started playing. We were buzzing with excitement. We have so much love for 5 Seconds of Summer, and were so grateful to spend this moment with them.

Following the 5SOS set, Sombr also played on Lollapalooza’s T-Mobile main stage. Sombr is an artist who we love getting to spend our time with. The energy and power he brings to the stage always is so great to see. Midway through his set, Sombr brought out none other than 5 Seconds of Summer to perform ‘She Looks So Perfect’ together. This brought so much energy out of the crowd that you could feel it even at the back of the pit. This was so refreshing to see both of our favorite artists perform together.

Our last and final set of the night was Lorde headlining the T-Mobile stage. Lorde kicked off the night with ‘Don’t Look For Me Now That I’m Gone’, ‘Royals’, and ‘What Was That’. It felt like a dream being able to see Lorde live at this year’s Lollapalooza! We had just finished wiping our tears after ‘Man of the Year’ when the lights went dark and the start of ‘Girl, So Confusing’ started to play. Charli XCX then joined Lorde on stage to perform their song together. The crowd went absolutely insane! It was so amazing being able to experience this alongside all of the fans in the pit.
