This hive is buzzing with Troye Sivan fans. His fourth studio album is finally out, and we’ve taken our time to really dive deep into each song. She’s The Best gives us Troye at maybe his most vulnerable. Although Something To Give Each Other is still our favorite work from Troye, this new album gives us a peek into another side of one of our favorite singers. Naturally, we get the classic party tracks from Troye, but we’re also hearing intimate stories of Troye falling in and out of love and all the emotions in between. There are intense moments of yearning and desire that really make the album stand on its own. Here are a few of those moments and our top three favorite songs from Troye Sivan’s She’s The Best – stream here!.
‘Cowboy’
Coming in at number one, it’s ‘Cowboy.’ This song immediately resonated with us and remained our favorite even after multiple listens through of every song. Even though we adore a good party song from Troye, our favorite Troye songs are the slower ones that make us feel like we’re floating. We can also clearly hear Troye’s vocal progression in this song. He sounds amazing, and if you take one recommendation from us, let it be this song! Life is truly worth living with songs like ‘Cowboy.’
‘Troye Meets World’
Music meet body, body meet music. Genius! Writing and performing a classic party track is Troye’s greatest skill. ‘Troye Meets World’ takes us into Troye’s party under the bridge, but with a taste of something new. We immediately gravitated towards this song, and we simply can’t stop listening to it. We’ll turn it on in the car, during a workout, on a hot girl walk, at a pre-game, and while brushing our teeth. Obsessed!
‘Sex Star’
The production? 10/10. The lyrics? 10/10. Making the final pick of our favorite songs on She’s The Best, it’s ‘Sex Star.’ TBH, we haven’t seen this track get a lot of love online, and we’ll confidently be the first to say that it’s a standout song on the album. It’s a song that gives us a moment to yearn (classic Troye move) over our crush. And for those of us who are in fully committed relationships right now, you’ll find this song even more relatable.
Honorable Mention – ‘FF’
Could we really pick just three? If there is one Troye Sivan music video we can’t stop watching, it’s ‘FF.’ Everyone knows that Troye delivers the best music videos, and this new era has already given us some of our favorites. ‘FF’ envelopes us in the world of She’s The Best and gives us a pretty visual for that theme of yearning we keep talking about. He can truly do it all!
