SUNMI has ruled our K-Pop playlists for over 10 years as a solo artist, and she shows no signs of stopping. Her music is easy to listen to anytime and anywhere, but especially during the fall. As we get ready for THPloween and other festivities, SUNMI‘s songs will always be a click away for us.
From her solo debut in 2013 to her latest single ‘Forever July,’ we had to narrow down her entire discography for this list. We won’t keep you waiting: here are five SUNMI songs you need on your fall playlist!
‘Full Moon’
Let’s start off strong with ‘Full Moon’ (featuring Lena) from SUNMI‘s debut EP of the same name. It’s catchy, seductive, and the perfect introduction. Despite the jump scare in the music video, we come back to this track so much that it’s become a part of our bedtime routines. Whether it’s a full moon or not, this song deserves to soundtrack all your fall nights.
‘TAIL’
We’ve said it once, and we’ll say it again: ‘TAIL’ has the best choreography out of SUNMI‘s entire catalog, hands down. From the cat-like imagery to the intensity of the moves, it has been living in our minds rent-free since 2021. And with its dark and dreamy instrumental, your fall playlist is set! Going out on the town with this song in your head will make you feel unstoppable.
‘1/6’
Next, we have SUNMI’s ‘1/6’ from her 2021 EP of the same name. She’s known for laidback pop tracks such as this one, but ‘1/6’ feels especially nostalgic. SUNMI sings honestly about her borderline personality disorder, wondering if her heart will feel lighter on the moon (where the gravity is 1/6 as strong). If you’re trying to slow down and get back in touch with your emotions this fall, this song is perfect for you.
‘Childhood’
Feeding into our nostalgia some more, we have ‘Childhood’ from SUNMI‘s 2022 single, Heart Burn. Some may argue that this is more of a summer song, but it honestly fits right into our fall playlist. With a groovy bassline and peaceful vibes, ‘Childhood’ is the type of song we’d play on those slower mornings when we don’t have anything to do yet and the day feels limitless, almost as if we were kids again.
‘Tuberose’
Last but certainly not least, we have ‘Tuberose’ from SUNMI’s first full-length album, HEART MAID! It’s bold, moody, and oh-so dramatic. The guitar solo is absolutely killer, and SUNMI’s sultry vocals have us weak in the knees. It’s a switch up from the more mellow songs on this list, but it still gives off fall energy. As the nights get longer, you’ll have even more time for those late-night rendezvous.
