Pop superstar Adam Lambert has dazzled us once again! Taking on covers of some of the coolest hits of today and yesterday, Adam brings us his album High Drama. Sprinkled with his usual glam and glitter, he wows us with his impressive vocal range and passion in every single track.
We’ve been anticipating this album since he announced it back in December. Even then, with the few teasers we were given, we knew that Adam would deliver! After listening to the album over and over (and over again), we’ve finally picked our favorites. Trust us; it was hard! High Drama is a no-skip, energy-packed phenomenon from beginning to end, but we managed!
‘Holding Out For A Hero’
Bonnie Tyler’s 1984 classic has been a staple in pop culture for decades. Whether you’re a fan of the original or Fairy Godmother’s rendition from Shrek 2, which has had a hold on millennials since 2004, you’ll find an appreciation for Adam’s version. His voice is so powerful you can’t help but gets chills from the first note. Not to mention this video is iconic! The makeup, the looks, and the visuals are so bold and so stunning. Needless to say, it’s very Adam!
‘Holding On For A Hero’ was the perfect choice for the leading track of this album and definitely got us pumped. In the perfect one-two punch, we also enjoyed Adam’s version of ‘Chandelier’ by Sia. The original is amazing, there’s no doubt about it, but there’s something about Adam’s flare and jaw-dropping high notes that have breathed new life into it.
Coming in at third place is the electrifying cover of ‘Sex on Fire,’ originally by Kings of Leon. Trust us; you’ll have it on repeat! Make sure you pop on over to Spotify and stream High Drama right now! Want to watch Adam perform High Drama in all its glitzy glory?
