New Music To Get You Ready For When We Were Young Fest 2023

It’s finally October! The month we’ve been looking forward to all year. Not only does that mean Halloween, but also When We Were Young Fest! We love how the lineup includes incredibly iconic pop punk (and adjacent) bands like blink-182, Yellowcard, and Green Day; while also including some amazing bands of the 2010s like Movements, Hot Mulligan, and Citizen. Whether you haven’t listened to newer bands that the “young” kids listen to, or you’re too “young” enough to not have grown up with the classic bands, we’ve got you covered with a playlist of new music.

Sum 41 — ‘Landmines’

Let’s start off with one of the most iconic pop punk bands of the 2000s and still, to this day: Sum 41. They recently released a new song, ‘Landmines.’ Their sound has changed over the years (as it should, considering they’ve grown both as people and as a band), but it still goes hard. We can’t wait to hear it live, whether it be at WWWYF or at future shows.

Knuckle Puck — ‘Losing What We Love’

Knuckle Puck released another new single, ‘The Tower’ last month. We were absolutely obsessed, and it made it to our On Repeat playlist pretty quickly. And now, the title track will soon be following. If you can’t make it to WWWYF, they’ll also be on tour this fall with Real Friends, so don’t miss out!

Magnolia Park — ‘Antidote’

Another day, another new Mag Park song. We’re partially joking because they released two (2) new songs. But for real, they’re always dropping new music, and we definitely aren’t complaining. As always, they’re nothing but absolute bangers.
