Taking a dive into his own creative talents and bursting into a new genre, Joshua Roberts tinkers with alternative R&B, and the success of that shines in ‘Darkness.’ Joshua teamed up with fellow Magnolia Park bandmate Vince Ernst, who aided with writing and producing this epic new single.
’Darkness’ came about when Vince and I learned that a favorite movie we share is ‘American Psycho’. We were like okay, let’s make a song inspired by our love for this movie and add a little personal twist to it at the same time.

In ‘Darkness,’ Joshua Roberts takes on the role of the toxic lover who fixates only on the physical side of love and pulls away from any possible romantic connection. Filled with graphic lyrics and a beat that’ll draw you in, Joshua Roberts really showcases his diverse talents in ‘Darkness’ and truly gives us a taste of what’s to come on his debut EP, Good For You. We love it when artists experiment and delve into new genres!
