Yes, you read that right! We got the chance to discuss Crash Adams’ newest single, ‘Somewhere In Vegas’ with the boys exclusively! They revealed the concept behind their new EP Crashing Into Your Living Room Vol. 1 and their favorite moments performing live onstage with us, while keeping some things a secret 🤫 If you have no idea who they are, you’re in luck because we’ve got all the deets right here, right now! And yes, we are fangirling extra hard.
Congratulations on the new single! We loved every lyric and have had it on replay since it dropped. Walk us through the process of creating ‘Somewhere In Vegas’ and its differences from your past singles.
Thank you so much!! We’re so excited about this one! This song came together when we were in the studio one day with The Futuristics. It was our first ever session together and honestly, nothing was going right at all that day. We were trying to write a song about an actress we grew up watching on TV but it wasn’t good enough so we were a little deflated. Out of nowhere, The Futuristics decided to pull up an idea that they had started with Ester Dean. It was a few vocal lyrics and a guitar, but we immediately connected with the title and concept as we’ve had some crazy nights in Las Vegas over the last few years. See the song lyrics for some of those details! From there, we basically wrote ‘Somewhere In Vegas’ in an hour and used the next few weeks to tweak it until we were happy with it!
If you could go anywhere in Vegas (without any consequences), where would you go?
We’d be lying if we said we weren’t tempted to jump in the giant fountain outside the Bellagio.
We’re always keeping up with you guys on Instagram and TikTok and love all the fun content you make! What’s your take on the role of social media and platforms like TikTok in discovering and promoting new music?
We seriously appreciate that. We are extremely thankful for all of the support we receive on social media. It has honestly changed our lives. We have always been musicians first, and social media made our music go global. It is truly incredible being able to connect with our fans from around the world and see their reactions to our music.
What makes each of your personalities different, yet work so well in collaboration?
It’s really funny because we’re nothing alike. Simply put, I, Crash, am an extrovert and Adams is more of an introvert. Adams came from the world of high-level sports so he can be very set in his ways and disciplined. He is easily the hardest worker I’ve ever seen in my life. I am a lot more free-flowing and easy. What keeps us going is the respect we have for one another and the fact that we know no matter what, we can rely on the other person to always give 100% into what we’re doing.
We see that your new EP, Crashing Into Your Living Room Vol. 1, is only Vol. 1….can we expect a Vol.2 or similar iterations?
The “Crashing In Your Living Room EPs” are going to be something that we continue throughout our career, as it’s been an idea that we came up with at the very start of Crash Adams. You can expect each EP to have moments of fun, high-energy party music but also to have songs that we believe bring true artistic moments to the world of Crash Adams. It’s a collection of all of our favorite moments in the studio.
We are always streaming your song ‘Good Side’ everywhere we go – what is your favorite part about performing the song to a live crowd and how has your stage presence evolved since your first show?
It’s unbelievable when a record you love sounds even better live. That’s what happened with ‘Good Side’ and it unlocked a whole new level of love for the song on our end. Our favourite part of playing it live is how we have the freedom to improvise at different parts of the song (ex: playing the guitar a slightly different way, singing a lyric in a different way, etc). We truly believe that the more we perform the better we get because we always find ways to improve what we’re doing.
When working on Crashing Into Your Living Room Vol. 1, did you have a unifying theme or concept in mind?
We definitely had a theme in mind. When you think about the “living room”, it’s a place where people come together and live in the moment. Families, friends, and even strangers find themselves in living rooms from time to time and that’s exactly what our music is about. It’s for everyone, no matter your age, size, race, or position in life to enjoy.
We adore being Crash Adams fans and have so much fun interacting with everyone else in the fandom! What has been the most meaningful fan interaction you’ve had thus far?
Every fan interaction to us is so meaningful and we’re so thankful for the support that we have from our fans. Recently we played a few shows in Asia, and to hear all the fans screaming out our lyrics with us was surreal. We’re blessed to have the opportunity to connect with people from so many different parts of the world because of our music. Our community is truly worldwide and we can’t wait to have meetups in every country we visit!
Anything else you’d like to tell fans or any new fans who are reading about you for the first time?
Yes! The reason we do what we do is to spread love with as many people as we can and help impact their life in a positive way. Even as simple as making them happy through the music we make. We want to inspire others to chase their dreams and truly live life on their terms because it IS possible to enjoy the life you live.
