The most Bangtan-coded time of year has officially begun – spring! And with the new season, BTS has shared some gorgeous new releases. With HOPE ON THE STREET from j-hope, ‘FRI(END)S’ from V, and D-DAY from SUGA, let’s get straight into it! Welcome to the March 2024 edition of Bangtan Bulletin.
We Wanna Be ‘FRI(END)S’ With Taehyung
First up, we have to celebrate ‘FRI(END)S,’ V’s latest single. The track, like the artist behind it, is a gorgeous mix of juxtapositions. It’s suave but naive, cool but panicked, and joyful but scared. However, the hopeful theme of the song couldn’t be more perfect for this time of year! We’re obsessed with how Taehyung’s sense of humor comes through so well in the music video, and the storyline is just perfect. All in all, it’s just made us want to watch every friends-to-lovers romcom we can find!
Yoongi Releases D-DAY In Cinemas And Hits The Big 3-1
If you’re anything like us, you probably can’t stop thinking about SUGA’s D-DAY TOUR. Yoongi’s live performances were absolutely incredible, and we wish we could get a time machine to see him on stage again. We have to wait a bit for that, though, but in the meantime, we can experience this unforgettable tour in theaters once again! We will also have the chance to rewatch the special moments that Yoongi shared live with some of the other tannies during his encore concerts this time around! The movie will be shown on the big screen and IMAX on April 10 and April 13 (with additional dates in the U.S. and special surprises in participating theaters across the globe!).
Hobi Gives Us Hope On The Street
Just over a year after releasing ‘on the street,’ the legendary collaboration with J.Cole, j-hope is back with a special album, HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1. The six-track EP is filled with the collaborations of our dreams, and each song allows BTS’ performance leader to explore different styles of dance and hip-hop in his new docuseries, also aptly titled HOPE ON THE STREET. We love the new leases of life given to previous releases with the solo version of ‘on the street’ and the dance mix of ‘what if…,’ as well as the new title track ‘NEURON!’ Our favorite collabs have to be ‘i don’t know’ with Queen YUNJIN of LE SSERAFIM and ‘i wonder…’ with a guy you might have heard of: Jungkook of BTS!
