It’s been ten years, and BTS and ARMY are still in their never-ending game of who-can-spoil-each-other-the-most. As it turns out, there will never be a winner, and neither side is ever going to give up. So, for their birthday, BTS gifted ARMY with a brand new OT7 song, ‘Take Two!’
Not only did it simultaneously break and heal our hearts to hear all seven of these voices on a new track, but hearing Jin and Hobi was next-level emotional. And guess what? If hearing OT7 for the first time in a while wasn’t enough, then BTS also released a performance video for ‘Take Two,’ so you can see them too! Judging (or guessing!) by their hair, it looks like it was filmed in Fall 2022. BTS and BIGHIT literally have everything planned, huh?
A Decade-long Discography
Speaking of Bangtan, their giant brains, and never letting anything ever happen by accident, the lyrics for ‘Take Two’ are destroying us too.
Seeing as they have ten years worth of elite-tier songs in their catalogue, of course they had to reference some of our faves in the ‘Take Two’ lyrics! From ‘Whalien 52,’ to ‘For Youth,’ they somehow capture a decade’s worth of fan songs in one. In fact, they even referenced secret song ‘Sea.’ The ARMYs that get it, get it.
Despite writing about songs literally being our job, we barely have words to describe how happy we are to have a brand new BTS track, and to be celebrating their 10th birthday! ‘Take Two’ is barely scratching the surface of their birthday bash, with releases like ‘Le Jazz de V’ and the whole of Seoul basically being borafied in that firework display too. We love to see it!
