We had the opportunity to attend the first of Charly Bliss’s first two shows back in Boston, and Letters to Cleo couldn’t have picked a better opener. Charly Bliss is made up of the energetic Eva Hendricks, Spencer Fox, Sam Hendricks, and Dan Shure. They were all ecstatic to be at Paradise Rock Club playing for us and to be supporting Letters to Cleo (one of their favorite bands since forever) on a few of their shows in the northeast.

Right away you could see the impact that Charly Bliss had on this crowd as even people who didn’t know them before, were dancing like they were their biggest fans (which they most likely are now after seeing their fantastic set). And not only does Charly Bliss put on a great show, but they are super friendly to chat with, as we found out afterwards.
Before the last song, Eva let us know about their unsuccessful Thai food order and how they thought they were going to have bad luck tonight because everything about their order was wrong. But thankfully she added, “based off of how much fun it’s been playing for you guys, I think we’ve turned it all around!” And we definitely agree, the show was nothing but pure enjoyment and excitement for the whole crowd.
They played a new song for us, ‘Nineteen,’ which is stuck in our heads already and we can’t wait for it to come out (hopefully soon!). We definitely won’t miss out when they tour next, and you shouldn’t either! Make sure to follow Charly Bliss on their socials below so you are kept up to date.
