We had the opportunity to attend The Night Tour when it stopped for night two in Houston at the Toyota Center and we were not disappointed. The 25-city tour was made possible by The Black Promoters Collective, which is a coalition of African American independent producers.
JOE
First on the stage was JOE who had an incredible performance. We were personally impressed with how he commanded the stage. He played his hits ‘I Wanna Know’ and ‘Don’t Be A Player,’ which got the crowd off their feet.
Anthony Hamilton
Next on the stage was the iconic Anthony Hamilton. The R&B GRAMMY Award winner came out and wowed everyone in the crowd. After hearing ‘Charlene’ live, we know why it’s his most played song on Spotify. It’s just that good.
Maxwell
Rounding out the night was three-time GRAMMY Award Winner, Maxwell! He came onto the stage in a stunning suit and colorful spotlights and completely rocked it. By the time he sang through all his hits, which included ‘Pretty Wings,’ ‘Lifetime,’ and his newest release ‘OFF,’ the entire crowd was on their feet and dancing along.
