Glaive & Crew Amaze Us Live At Webster Hall

2022_02_19_Glaive

Glaive is our absolute fave! Fresh off the release of old dog, new tricks, the 17-year old singer-songwriter is the future of the emerging new hyperpop scene. Stopping in at Webster Hall, we at The Honey POP are hooked on what he has to say and the chords to every song – and have we mentioned his style?

Hyperpop is an emerging new scene with a diverse, really high-energy sound. Its greatest part? And what we loved even more about Glaive’s tour? We crossed into hip-hop and rap with up-and-coming faves Midwxst and Aldn as supporting acts. And seeing the fusion of rap and pop? It was a night that the crowd could not get enough of!

Glaive, in case you don’t know, has been an up and coming name in the indie scene since their 2020 debut with ‘astrid’ and ‘heather.’ Let us tell you, Honey Poppers, these are tracks we need to turn up, listen to, and sing (maybe scream!) along to.

And here’s an insider tip: if you were vibing with our recap on Still Woozy’s tour, trust us, Glaive and emerging hyperpop artists are a must-listen on your next playlist.

The release of old dog, new tricks has us seeing glaive embrace their style: a rich fusion of relaxed, rock-inspired guitar and a high-energy melody. It really made for a night we’re still thinking about, and we wish you could’ve been there, Honey Poppers!

To show this incredibly talented artist even more love, we’ve listed our go-to tracks here. Some we even got to hear live, too! And since we’re feeling it, that means you are going to as well.
