Night three of The XOXO Tour rolled through Houston and we had the chance to check out the show! As long-time fans of The Maine, we already knew this show would be phenomenal and the band did not disappoint.
Charlotte Sands
First up on stage was the iconic Charlotte Sands. You might know her from her song ‘Dress,’ which went viral on TikTok! Not only did she get the crowd going with the song, her infectious energy on stage got even the fans who had never heard the song on their feet. The blue-haired rocker and her drummer, Danen Reed Rector, kept the crowd hyped throughout the entire set. Charlotte is definitely one to watch and we cannot wait to see more from her.
The Happy Fits
Next up on stage was The Happy Fits! Now you know, we are massive fans of the band and they were incredible. Have you ever seen someone play the cello at a pop-punk show? No? Then you need to head out to one of their upcoming shows and experience their iconic set. Our favorite songs were ‘So Alright, Cool, Whatever,’ and ‘She Wants Me (To Be Loved).’
The Maine
Now that we were hype from the openers, it was The Maine’s turn to take the stage. The energy was already up and we didn’t think it could rise even more, but it did. We always love being in the crowd during The Maine’s set. Everyone is always so kind and we all just vibe together and that’s what makes going to this tour so great.
They played songs from their newest album, XOXO: From Love & Anxiety In Real Time, while also not forgetting to play some of their most iconic tracks. Our personal favorites on the setlist were ‘Dirty, Pretty, Beautiful,’ ‘Sticky,’ ‘Am I Pretty?,’ and ‘My Best Habit.’
