Tbh we’re still trying to process Aftershock. Alexander 23’s debut album has only been out for a week but it’s quickly skyrocketing it’s way to the top of all of our playlists. Album Of The Year perhaps??? We sure think so. And how about Song Of The Year? We’re nominating Alexander 23’s ‘If We Were A Party!’
One of our favorite tracks off the album, ‘If We Were A Party’ is an upbeat track and it’s giving us major early 2000s vibes. Like we could definitely picture this song making an appearance in a coming of age rom com movie.

Or maybe an action movie? Given the opening sequence of this video perhaps it’s not so far-fetched.
Okay so maybe the entire video doesn’t feel like an action movie but we can’t even be mad about it because PUPPIES!! We think this is an absolutely adorable use of a music video budget and we do not mind watching it at all.
It got us thinking, what other songs off Aftershock besides ‘If We Were A Party’ would we wanna see a music video for?
‘Cosplay’
This song is fun and upbeat and as all the makings of a whirlwind, “should we or shouldn’t we” relationship and we think seeing it translated into a music video would be so much fun!
‘Fall 2017’
This song just hits us right in the feelings a little too hard if we’re being honest. We would love to see how this song is brought to life in a music video. Tbh, we can almost picture a comic book like story playing out of the relationship and what happened in fall of 2017.
‘Everything’s Fine’
Everything is in fact NOT fine but that’s the point of the song right? A video for this song would add to the emotional damage (/pos) we get from listening to this track.
