TikTok Takeover: 10 Artists Taking Over Our FYP

It’s okay. Go ahead and admit that you are just as obsessed with TikTok today as when the app first launched. We know we are! Whether you are on #BookTok, #FoodTok, #MusicTok, or anywhere in between, one thing is certain, TikTok entertainment is taking over one little video at a time. We personally vibe the most with #MusicTok, and these ten artists seem to be taking over not only our FYP’s but also our minds and hearts!

Their newest songs are so exceptional we can’t help but vibe along all day to every word. So if you haven’t seen these artists on your FYP yet, then allow us to introduce you!

‘Narcissist’ – Lauren Spencer-Smith

We’ve been fans of Lauren Spencer-Smith for a while now, but every time she teases a song on TikTok, we instantly fall head over heels in love with it! Her single ‘Fingers Crossed’ generated over half-a-billion views on the platform and amassed over 400 million streams globally! We do not doubt that ‘Narcissist,’ with its ability to encapsulate your every sense, will do even better! You can stream the single here.

‘Caffeine’ – Max Drazen

We have been waiting on Max to release this song for what feels like FOREVER, and finally, it is ours! WOOHOO! This song follows his debut single, ‘Let me Down Slow,’ which is still constantly playing on repeat in our heads and on our Spotify, and ‘Caffeine’ is giving the single a run for its money! You can stream the song here!

‘Victoria’s Secret’ – Jax

LISTEN! We adore Jax more then anybody should be allowed to adore someone, but we are doing it anyway! Her new song, ‘Victoria’s Secret,’ is definitely not the first song we’ve made our entire personality by Jax (we discovered her via TikTok, duh!), but it is the one we needed to hear the most! With empowering lyrics about body positivity, we’ve never cried while shaking our a**es more then we do with this song, and it’s the perfect anthem for all coming-of-age teens. ‘If It’s Not God’ – Maddie Zahm

Maddie, Maddie, Maddie! SIS! Maybe send complimentary tissues next time you release a song because we are drowning in our tears over here! If ‘Fat Funny Friend’ and ‘You Might Not Like Her’ didn’t shatter our souls (in the best way), then ‘If It’s Not God’ sure did! We can guarantee you will feel goosebumps from head to toe from the power in her lyrics and the way she sings – this goes for all of her songs, but on this new one especially! Discovering her on TikTok has been the greatest thing that’s happened to us in a long time! You can stream the single here.

‘Someone To Blame’ – Dixie D’Amelio

Dixie has been a TikTok star for a while now, but her music continues to dominate on our FYP. ‘Someone To Blame’ has to be one of our favorite Dixie songs! We can’t get the catchy tune and hypnotic beats out of our heads, and we would be lying if we didn’t say we scream sing this into our shampoo bottles! You can stream the single (and her debut album) here!

‘123’ – Claire Rosinkranz

Claire has quickly become one of our favorite artists! Her voice and sound are so unique, and we can’t seem to satisfy our insatiable need for her music. Her song ‘Backyard Boy’ exploded on TikTok in 2020, and she left her mark on the industry (and our hearts) with it’s massive success! ‘123’ is going to blow up just as much if not more than ‘Backyard Boy.’ Republic Records summarized this incredible new song perfectly in our opinion – “[the] track showcases her seamless ability to shift back and forth between vibes effortlessly with style and substance.” Absolutely, and we’ll be here for that success every step of the way! You can stream the new single here.

‘All The Things I Hate About you’ – Huddy

Okay, Chase, we see you, coming in hot with the pop-punk anthem of our Summer, yessir! It’s relatable, bad*ss, and *chefs kiss* perfection. We love everything about the song and the video, and we would like to apologize in advance to our neighbors when we are scream singing this in our backyard into the void of space. They’ll secretly like the song, our singing, however, not so much! You can stream the single here!

‘Familiar Feeling’ – kate the dreamer

We would describe this highly-anticipated song as soft and polished. After the song teaser went viral on TikTok, we are FINALLY hearing the full version, and it’s just as ✨immaculate✨ as we expected it to be! It makes us feel like forest nymphs, running barefoot through the forest, chasing fireflies and fairies as the wind blows through our hair and the trees around us – it almost makes you forget it’s a breakup anthem! We can’t wait to see where the success of ‘Familiar Feeling’ will take kate! You can stream the single here.

‘Beauty & The Beast’ – Grace Gaustad

Grace hits on a deep societal issue with this new song – they lyrically and visually address society’s narcissism and an obsession with outside appearances. We think this topic is so important to talk about and love the way they addressed it while still creating a banger track, but they’re no stranger to addressing hard-hitting topics. Previously, they’ve covered mental health, bullying, sexual/gender identity, and depression, all topics that need to be talked about more. You can stream the single here!

‘Being Good is Boring’ – Jena Rose

This song is a straight bop – period. It’s so fun to dance to, sing along with, and it will instantly put you in a good mood. The song garnered over 5K videos with 18M views on TikTok prior to its release, and we are sure to see that number grow continuously now that the song is out in the world. All we can say is Jena Rose knew what she was doing when creating this song, and that was making a hit! You can stream the single here.
