We Moshed to Simple Plan’s ‘Scooby Doo’ At The Blame Canada Tour And It Was ‘Iconic’

Oh, Simple Plan, a band that has been in our lives since we were just children. They’ve been with us through the highs and the lows, and we finally got to see them up close and in person.

Magnolia Park + Sum 41

Magnolia Park, our faves, opened up the show and put on an amazing performance. We feel blessed to have seen them so many times live and knew this would be a perfect tour for them to be on. And they did not disappoint! They played our favorite songs: ‘Feel Something,’ ‘Back On My BullSh*t,’ and ‘Liar.’

Up next was the iconic, Sum 41! Can you believe we’ve been fans of this band since before Myspace? We definitely had ‘Pieces’ as our profile song for a hot second. Although we’ve been fans for a while, this was the second time we had seen them live, and it was an absolute joy to see them doing what they love again. Our favorite songs are: ‘In Too Deep,’ ‘Pieces,’ and ‘Fat Lip.’

Simple Plan

Just like Sum 41, Simple Plan has been in our lives since we were wee children. We remember our older siblings getting the CD and us “borrowing” it and playing it on our Hello Kitty boombox because we loved it that much. With Simple Plan being around since 1999, you know they must have had a hard time creating a set list with nostalgic bangers, while also showcasing their newer releases. But they did it!

They played the classics: ‘I’m Just A Kid,’ I’d Do Anything,’ and ‘Addicted.’ But didn’t forget to play their hits from their newest release: ‘Wake Me Up (When This Nightmare’s Over)’ and ‘Iconic.’ We also got to mosh to ‘What’s New Scooby Doo,’ and we never thought we’d get to say that sentence out loud.
