‘People Like Me, We Just Don’t Play.’ And that’s exactly why you should trust us when we tell you Emarosa’s new single is a must-listen! Give this track your ‘Attention’ and you won’t regret it. We’re so ‘Ready To Love’ this new era of the band and keep their latest releases in our rotation until we get sick of hearing it (spoiler, we won’t). Too many puns? ‘Wait, Stay,’ we don’t wanna drive you away!
In all seriousness or as much as we can muster without freaking out over how much we love this duo, Emarosa are at the top of their game right now! ‘Stay’ just so happens to be the perfect example of what Bradley Scott and ER White have up their sleeves, combining lovable pop melodies with a new edge.
‘Stay’ really turned into a “become what you hate” story. That feeling of knowing something is bad for you and you’re on the fence, but something pushes you over. “It’s such a dangerous hunger I can’t help,” something about that to me screams love/hate and passion. You’re being hunted, she turns you, and you become the hunter. It’s a very vampire/werewolf metaphor. This would have been great if Twilight was in the 80s.

Okay, now we need an 80s Twilight reimagining! We could totally see this playing from a car radio in the scene where Edward saves Bella from getting hit by a van outside of Forks High School, or even while the students are dancing at prom towards the end of the movie. Edward would be hesitant to admit he even enjoys pop music, but he wouldn’t complain when it came on the radio. Meanwhile, Bella would play the song from a mix CD on her Walkman and scribble the lyrics in her notebooks. Maybe it’d even soundtrack iconic moments like this one:
If you love ‘Stay’ as much as we do, you thankfully won’t have to wait too long for more Emarosa! They’ll be dropping a whole new album, Sting, in January and you already know we’ve pre-ordered it. They’ve spent the past decade refining their sound more and more, and we just keep loving their releases more and more.
Every album we outdo ourselves. Sting is no exception. No reservations, no holds barred, this record is unapologetic & defiantly confident.
Vocalist Bradley Scott
