Do you ever wish you could write a love letter with some edge? A tribute to the mixed feelings that can come from the one we love? If you’re a fan of PRIZM or girl in red, Loviet has the song for you. ‘Wide Eyes’ is the newest single from her upcoming EP, The Nighttime Is All In the Timing, and what she describes as “a love letter with teeth.”
And let us tell you: it’s a vibe!
‘Wide Eyes’ is a journey. With a progressively changing tune, getting faster and more intense as the song continues, Loviet uses her sultry tone to symbolize the turbulent emotions that can sometimes come with relationships. She managed to put into words the ups, downs, and “all-arounds” we’ve all experienced, and it hit us right in the feels. We couldn’t figure out if we wanted to dance or if we wanted to cry (we ended up doing both!), but that’s what makes the perfect love song.
This release follows ‘Broken Lips,’ another dark take on romance, released on September 9th. Both were produced by Minnesota’s Now, Now consisting of Bradley Hale and Cacie Dalager. With a team like that, we’re sure The Nighttime Is All In the Timing is going to be a smash, and we can’t wait to listen!
@lovietmusic When we were tracking this song Cacie was wearing a cowboy hat and fully created the vibe. I cant do it justice but here’s my attempt 😂🤠❤️ #yeehaw #coronacowgirl is back
Loviet is also planning Canadian, EU, and UK dates for 2023, and we’re sure it’ll be amazing! Get prepared and check out her Spotify! Not quite sure where to start? We suggest ‘Jawbreaker,’ ‘Dullshine,’ and ‘The Thrill.’ Even if we can’t be on tour, those would be our top setlist picks (besides ‘Wide Eyes,’ of course), guaranteed to get us singing at the top of our lungs.
Pop on over to @thehoneypop on Twitter to give us your thoughts on ‘Wide Eyes.’ Then run over to Facebook or Instagram and tell us which Loviet song you’re adding to your playlist.
