She’s always incredibly vulnerable in her songs, and she always hits our soft spot with her lyrics. ‘Lose Lose’ captures the signature Alexa Cappelli essence. This single was inspired by a friend breakup. Letting go of a friendship is definitely heartbreaking, and sometimes you realize you can’t make everyone happy all the time. Alexa has poured her heart out on this single by telling the stories that happened through that relationship.
In addition to the amazing lyrics, the pop-punk-inspired instrumental from the chorus just adds that extra emotion of being done with that “friend,” and it makes us want to move away from any toxic behaviors we’ve been keeping up with for a long time. We have to put ourselves first. Enough is enough!
Everyone is responsible for their own emotions and decisions, and friendships are meant to help build each other up, not tear down.
