Alexis Lynn is nothing short of an extraordinary artist and storyteller. The way she combines her ethereal vocals with her insane lyricism game is an absolute gift to us all. In her new single ‘Something To Prove,’ Lynn decided to use those gifts in the most honest way she can to discuss mental health & sexuality.
We’ve had Real Talk in our constant music rotations since it dropped on September 23rd. Not that we’re shocked, since every single off of the album released before the album’s drop was immaculate!
Hailing from Surrey, British Colombia, Alexis Lynn is an all-around powerhouse human. Lynn is an Indigenous woman, feminist, mental health advocate, and ally amongst countless other things. At even her youngest age, Alexis recounts knowing she wanted to be a singer-songwriter. And we here at The Honey POP are beyond grateful she stuck with that plan.
More Music? Please? We’re Asking Nicely!!
We and the rest of Alexis’s fanbase are chomping at the bit to get our hands on more music ASAP. It’s no surprise she draws inspiration from artists like Rihanna and Amy Winehouse… like, duh. We’re just waiting for the day we get to talk about her placing her name right alongside theirs! Showing us how to be confident through our flaws, Alexis Lynn has our entire hearts.

What’s your favorite lyric(s) in ‘Something To Prove?’ Ours is probably, “Tired apathy leaks from his mouth, her tongue is soft, yeah, her words pour out, there’s so much left to unlearn ’cause I thought love was something you should earn.” Let us know your favorite lyric(s) in the comments below!
