It’s safe to say that there’s “nothing on the TV, nothing on the radio” that means as much to us as Razorlight going on tour again. Many of us at THP have grown up listening to the band, so it is so exciting to see Razorlight back together and preparing to head out on a UK/Ireland tour. Whether you’re a longtime fan or you’re just discovering this diamond of a band, you’re going to want to get your hands on some of the remaining tickets – they’re going fast!
Following the release of RazorWhat? The Best Of Razorlight, a compilation of some of their greatest hits, some lucky fans around the UK are going to get to hear a setlist full of classics. What better way to prepare you all for the tour than to discuss some of our favorites? The tour starts on the 25th of March, so you don’t have long to brush up, but we’ll get you ready in time! ‘America’
What a drag it is not to know this classic. If you want the full effect, we recommend listening to this late at night while dancing in your kitchen or on a sunny drive with the windows down. Two different vibes, we know, but trust us, we’ve been doing this for a while. ‘America’ comes from Razorlight’s 2006 self-titled album, and it’s been a part of our lives ever since. We can’t wait to see this one live!
‘Golden Touch’
It definitely feels like whoever wrote this put their ‘Golden Touch’ into it. This feels like a timeless classic that would appeal to any generation of music lovers. The vibe feels like when a movie’s main character is at a crossroads, they’ve got a challenge to overcome, and now is the crunch time. That’s how we feel walking around with it blasting from our headphones, anyway. There’s a definite no-fake-friends vibe, something we can all relate to! It also looks like it absolutely goes off live, if this recording from Brixton Academy is anything to go by. If you were lucky enough to score tickets to tour, let us know if we’re right!
‘You Are Entering The Human Heart’
The RazorWhat? greatest hits album also snuck in a couple of brand-new songs. The video is so much fun; we love a little cheeky music video moment. “The Noughties are back in,” indeed, and the noughties kids here at THP are loving this track and the return of Razorlight. This is a certified banger, and although it’s a new track, it fits in entirely with the Razorlight classics. Add this to your pre-tour playlist, or any playlist for that matter; it’s too good!
We’re so excited they’ve patched things up and are back on the road, and as soon as we’re done here, we’ll be scouring the internet to try to find any resale tickets to our local show! Make sure you check out the tour dates, as not everything is sold out yet, and they’ve just added dates in Coventry and Middlesborough, as well as moving the London show to the gorgeous Eventim Apollo.
