Let’s be real. The 8123 fam (aka stans of The Maine) are really good at sleuthing. With the clues we were given by Pat Kirch: it takes place on the west coast, a state where there isn’t an SSF date, and not in Arizona? Easy. Denver! If that was your guess too, you’re right. We get to celebrate the once-in-a-lifetime date with a special headlining show at the Fillmore in Denver, CO. In addition, there will also be a pop-up shop. We will never financially recover from The Maine, but it’s fine.
A once-in-a-century show deserves a once-in-a-lifetime lineup, so it makes sense that Real Friends and Knuckle Puck (who are currently on a co-headlining tour) would be the supporting bands. If this lineup seems familiar, it should be. The lineup is the same as the American Candy tour in 2015. If you missed out on that, now’s your chance!
Wait, what is 8123 and why does it mean everything to you?
8123 are the numbers on the parking garage where The Maine would hang out when they were younger. Their song, ‘We All Roll Along’ pays homage to it with the lyrics, “8123, means everything to me,” If you’re ever in Arizona, (btw, The Maine also released the dates for 8123 Fest 2024) we recommend going. It may just be a parking garage, but it holds a special place in 8123 fam’s hearts.
We’ve curated a playlist that will get you hyped for this historic event.
As we said earlier, Real Friends and Knuckle Puck are currently on tour with support from Between You & Me. If you can’t wait until 8/1/23 to see them, you can get tickets for their tour here. If you can’t wait until then to see The Maine, they’ll be at Hangout Fest, Slam Dunk Festival, and Sad Summer Fest! You can get tickets here.
