It’s official: Dua’s working with Donatella Versace to collaborate on Versace’s upcoming “La Vacanza” (Italian for “vacation”) women’s collection! We’ll get to see the results on Tuesday, May 23rd, when the “La Vacanza” fashion show happens in the beautiful Cannes, France. Right after the show, you can shop the collection on Versace’s website – we’re counting our savings already!
I have always been inspired by a collaborative design process. Working with Dua on this collection has been very exciting and I love the dynamic between us. Dua is strong, fearless, and free and her creative vision is exceptional. Summer is a magical time. We will capture this feeling and the colours of that time of the year with a truly special and intimate fashion show in Cannes.

Over the years, we’ve gotten some fun insight into Dua’s sweet friendship with Donatella – for example, the iconic fashion “mishap” at the 2022 GRAMMY Awards, when Dua and Megan Thee Stallion appeared in the same outfit before Donatella worked her magic and switched up both looks right on stage. But we have a feeling that the “La Vacanza” collection will be their most special team-up yet!
I am absolutely thrilled to have co-designed the women’s “La Vacanza” collection for Versace with Donatella. She and I have formed such a strong bond over the years, and I’m so grateful for the support I’ve received from her and the whole team since the very beginning of my career. For her to give me the honor of co-designing this collection and letting all my summer inspirations go wild has been a dream. I am so very proud of this collection and cannot wait to debut it in Cannes.

2019 Met Gala
It’s no surprise that Dua got to be a co-chair for the 2023 Met Gala, because she constantly turns heads on the Met steps! One of the best examples of her Met prowess is the dress and tights she wore in 2019 for the Camp: Notes On Fashion theme, which was dedicated to bold, unique looks. It was a colorful take on Versace’s signature baroque pattern and we love that she matched the puff of the skirt with the puff of her hair!
2021 GRAMMY Awards Performance
When Dua first took the stage for her mashup performance at the 2021 GRAMMYs, we were automatically blown away by the gorgeous volume of her Versace coat. Then she took a little detour to swap it out for a glimmering blazer and we were blown away. Then she took that blazer off to reveal a shimmery two-piece and we were… yup, you guessed it, blown away! The perfect outfit can really take a performance from amazing to legendary, and that’s especially true when you have three Versace stunners in a row.
Versace Spring-Summer 2022 Runway
Three of our favorite things: Dua Lipa, Versace, and the color pink. So you could probably imagine how excited we were to see Dua walk the Versace runway in September 2021 in a pink crop top and maxi skirt combo! She absolutely rocked the catwalk and this look still lives in our dreams. Let’s hope we get more pink Dua moments in the Barbie movie this summer 🤞
