Hello Honey Poppers, you’re in for a really icy treat. Our favorites, Cavetown and Field Medic, have teamed up to give us a chill and gentle track that is ‘Glacier Meadow.’ Cavetown is no stranger to collab bops, so when we heard about this collab between him and Field Medic, to say we were excited is an understatement.
We are just in love with the instrumental opening, it really helped build up the track and helped it become the earworm that it is, and you’ll be lying if you said it hasn’t been stuck in your head since you first heard it. We also love that they both come in singing at the same time and if you were to ask us which two artists’ vocals bleed so well together, we wouldn’t look any further than these two. We’re being so serious!
We know anyone can say two artists’ voices go well together, but with Cavetown and Field Medic, it’s as if they are one person. We wouldn’t be mad if they made a group together. But before we get carried away…’Glacier Meadow’ seriously gives off fairytale meadow vibes; it may be their vocals, it may be the instrumentals or everything in between, but all we have to say is it works. Plus, if you add a banjo to a song, we’ll automatically like it. So sit back, relax, and pop those headphones in as you listen to the beautiful song that is, ‘Glacier Meadow.’
Now, if you’re wondering how this collab came to be, well, it actually came about in 2019 when they were on the road together.
Kevin is my friend. We wrote this song many years ago on tour together, long before the pandemic. It was lost to time in those tough years, but Kevin recently found it. It’s finally being unveiled at just the right time. The dust is clearing and we can all finally see the ‘Glacier Meadow’ together.
Cavetown
We’re so lucky that Kevin found the track, we don’t know who we would be without it. We obviously have heard what kind of tracks both artists can and have released, so ‘Glacier Meadow’ is a perfect track that represents both. Now if you haven’t heard a track from either artist, or you’ve heard a song from one, and not the other, we do have some recommendations for you. For Field Medic, we are in love with ‘M.M.G.A.T.M.,’ the track focuses primarily on a guitar which we love. And for Cavetown, we recommend ‘Talk to me,’ it’s such a sad yet sweet song.
