Big Time Rush – Another Life
This is not a drill!! We have a brand new Big Time Rush album to gush about! We have been waiting for this album for what feels like ever, and now it’s ours and we will not be taking this record off of repeat, probably ever. There is not a single feeling that will ever replace hearing the band you loved all growing up release new music while we all navigate adulthood. ‘Ask You Tonight’ is our standout track, we can’t wait to scream the lyrics when we catch Big Time Rush on tour!

Joan Jett & the Blackhearts – Mindsets
Let’s be clear, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts are icons, and we have worshipped their music for decades! With this newest EP, Mindsets, a true dose of Rock & Roll is breathed into mainstream music, which is exactly our ideal scenario. ‘Rear View Mirror’ is a triumph, and easily our standout from the EP.

Sarcastic Sounds – ‘Jaycee’
Breakup songs will always hold a special place in our hearts, and ‘Jaycee’ might just be one of the best in recent memory. ‘Jaycee’ shows an excellent relationship between an artist and their pen, and so beautifully showcases the best in indie-pop-rock.

Aidan Bissett – ‘Bloom’
Aidan Bissett is a favorite of ours here on Fresh Music Friday, we simply can’t get enough of how infectious his music constantly feels. ‘Bloom,’ of course, follows suit. ‘Bloom’ is a track that after the first listen we immediately had to listen to the song again, this may just be our favorite Aidan Bissett track yet!
Hearing “You make everything bloom” fills our heads with so much serotonin.

Baby Fisher – Chapter 1
We’re celebrating a debut EP this week! Debut projects on Fresh Music Friday are always some of our favorites, so we are going to show some extra love to Baby Fisher today! Devon Cole has crafted a song that somehow feels like it was ripped straight from our brains. ‘1-800-GOT-STRESS’ is such a raw look at what it’s like to be so stuck in your own head feeling like you can’t carry on, backed by this incredible alt-pop track. The fact that Devon is able to make such a vulnerable track still have such intriguing instrumentals is a fear that shouldn’t be ignored, we are officially stans.

Cody Cozz – ‘I’m Just A Country Song’
Adding a country song to Fresh Music Friday is always a must, and this week that ear candy comes in the form of ‘I’m Just A Country Song,’ by Cody Cozz! ‘I’m Just A Country Song’ feels like the perfect blend of what’s working in modern country music with an equal blend of what worked in decades past. Also just a little tidbit, the track is written and produced by fellow country singer Craig Campbell.

The Aquadolls – Charmed
An entire project named after one of our favorite shows from our youth? Sign us up! Simply put, Charmed is the perfect way to end this Fresh Music Friday! Charmed feels incredibly infused with 2000s-inspired sounds, we can picture so many of these tracks living in an iconic soundtrack from the time period, which is the highest compliment. Everyone knows soundtracks from the 2000s just hit different. ‘Beachy’ is our highlight, we will be playing this on a loop all summer.
