Summer has just begun, and with that, we have a bunch of new releases that we will keep listening to on repeat throughout the hottest season! Among our favorite new EPs is Maude Latour‘s latest project, Twin Flame. We have been Maude stans for a long time, and this EP is the perfect combination of pop and electronic-esque vibes that we needed on our playlists. Let’s embark on a journey through romance with these great tracks!
‘Twin Flame’
What an incredible way to open an EP! ‘Twin Flame’ definitely does the title of the project justice. We fell in love with the track the moment we listened to the first verse! You don’t want to let go of that person that completes you, and that’s exactly what Maude wants to convey with this song. The catchy beat makes ‘Twin Flame’ one of the best pop songs we’ve ever heard!
‘Minerals & Diamonds’
This is the most hyper-pop track from Twin Flame, and we absolutely love it! ‘Minerals & Diamonds’ captures the passion that fuels a relationship, with references to feeling completely in love and wanting to stay this way forever. Maude’s use of electronic elements throughout it makes this song even bolder, making it a complete 10/10!
‘Lovebomb’
This is the most vulnerable track in the album, and we love the placement of it in Twin Flame. It looks as if every song before ‘Lovebomb’ set us up for it. Maude’s voice being the focus makes this song even more special, as the instrumental only gets louder during the bridge to showcase her lyrics. If you’ve felt conflicted about situationships and the “almost-somethings,” this song is for you.
‘Lunch’
‘Lunch’ perfectly describes that feeling you get when you start crushing on someone. The fun instrumental and the daring lyrics are so addicting, and we want to thank Maude for reminding us that we should let loose. We only live once! You never know, maybe that special person is also waiting for you to ask them to go out for lunch (or for more new music recs). 😉
