We never have a shortage of nice things to say about Eighty Ninety here at The Honey POP!. Their last release, ‘Stay Alive,’ still hasn’t left our on repeat playlists and probably won’t any time soon. So imagine how stoked we were to find out that their new single, ‘Face Like A Sunset,’ was going to be ours! It’s everything we hoped for and more. And in classic Eighty Ninety signature style, this track is everything.
‘Face Like A Sunset’ is giving us vocals that we wish we could dive into like a pool on a hot summer day. But the instrumentals are also giving the indie-pop sound of our summer soundtrack. We can’t express just how much this track is the way we want to feel all summer long. When talking about the track, Abner had this to say:
It’s a song about the little moments when you realize you’re falling in love, and how the very moment you realize you want to spend forever with someone, you begin to feel the press of time. A sunset is beautiful partly because you know it won’t last.
