Movements have been dropping singles off of their upcoming album RUCKUS! and we just get more and more hyped with every release. Their latest single ‘Heaven Sent’ shows us yet another side to Movements’ sound, showcasing the range of their talent. It’s not what you might typically expect to hear from Movements, but it’s a fantastic track all the same. Think, ‘Cherry Thrill,’ perhaps?
‘Heaven Sent’ definitely leans into a poppier sound, but it still sounds distinctly like a Movements track. Pat Miranda’s vocals never disappoint, proven once again in this track. There’s a breezy, upbeat, and airy vibe to ‘Heaven Sent.’ It’s exactly the kind of sound we’d use to describe a relationship that feels “heaven sent.” And, of course, then there’s the music video. We love the visuals and the psychedelic-looking imagery and colors. The video feels like the perfect visual translation of how ‘Heaven Sent’ sounds. We really hope ‘Heaven Sent’ makes the setlist for Movements’ upcoming tour because it seems like such a fun song to hear live.

Honestly, we really hope all of these singles, or at least most of them, make it to a setlist. If the singles are any indication of RUCKUS!‘ sound, then we’re 10x more excited for the album than we already were. One of the things we love so much about Movements is how they’ve experimented with their sound across their discography. It’s brought us some catchy and unique pop-element-infused post-hardcore tracks, which are so refreshing to hear while staying true to what makes Movements, Movements.
