Hello Honey Poppers. We are back! It has been a couple of days, but we’re back with yet another artist who has been on the top of our most-played list, Laufey! So Laufey is someone we’ve talked about before with her track ‘Falling Behind,’ and when we thought we were obsessed with that track, were we in for a doozy with ‘From The Start.’

‘From The Start’ has already made its way to Laufey’s most streamed track on Spotify; the audio is her second most popular video on her YouTube, and it continues to gain popularity on TikTok. No seriously, our FYP is filled with videos of people using ‘From The Start’ audio, and we can’t blame them. From her unique and beautiful voice to the Jazz sound her tracks are known for. Plus, ya know, the lyrics, such as “Listening to you harp on ’bout some new soulmate / “She’s so perfect, “blah, blah, blah” to put into better words, we are obsessed with everything about the track, including the meaning. This track is all about unrequited love, and whether you’ve gone through this, don’t currently have a crush, or are madly in love, we think you’ll be jamming along right alongside us.
We were first seeing sneak peeks of the MV on TikTok, and so you know, we were beyond ready when the MV finally came out. First off, Laufey’s outfit and makeup were super cute, and the setting matched her perfectly. We gotta say we love that the MV wasn’t crowded with a bunch of things, so the lyrics and song in general, really played the role they had to. If you haven’t listened to the track, head over here.
