We love it when the music and fashion worlds intertwine, and Jang Wonyoung of IVE just might be the best example of that. She can pull off so many different aesthetics, and she’s even an ambassador for Miu Miu! That’s not even mentioning the fact that she’s all over our Pinterest wardrobe moodboards, thanks to her stylish stage outfits and even more casual looks. But you don’t need a brand partnership or an idol salary to dress like Wony — here are a few of our favorite Amazon finds you can use to recreate some of her most iconic fashion moments.
We’d Rate This Look An ‘ELEVEN’
We knew Wonyoung would become one of the most fashionable it-girls in K-Pop as soon as we saw this glam look from IVE’s debut music video, ‘ELEVEN!’ It’s girly while still having a powerful vibe to it, so it matches Wony’s energy really well. The shining star of this outfit is a bright pink dress, which you can add a wide black belt to. Top it off with a gold leaf headband if you want to take inspo from the performance version and you’re all set for a legendary debut.
That’s My ‘Kitsch’ Style
Our jaws dropped when we saw the gorgeous varsity jackets IVE wore throughout the ‘Kitsch’ era! Luckily, it’s not too hard to recreate Wonyoung’s ‘Kitsch’ look, especially if you’re down for a little DIY. She wore a few different color jackets throughout the music video and performances, so we’re gonna focus on the navy MCountdown version for clarity.
Start with a navy varsity-style jacket, then add some gothic font number patches to the sleeves – here are two different options we found. If you’re feeling fancy, add some red hearts and stars to the chest as well! Layer your jacket over a red plaid shirt and a black tennis skirt, then you have the perfect Wony-inspired OOTD.
‘I AM’ In Love With This Outfit
We think Wonyoung is at least 90% of the reason why the “plaza princess” aesthetic has taken off over the past few years, and this is one of her best ensembles in that area. Recreating this look works best with a square neck dress so the button-down collar can peek through, and you can add some faux pearl necklaces for some extra elegance. Just try not to fall off a plane like that meme, yeah?
As much as we love Wonyoung’s fancier outfits, we think her casual ones deserve just as much recognition! We adore this fun yellow outfit she wore to perform a cover of ‘Butter,’ and we also adore that it’s pretty easy to recreate. Pair a pastel yellow cardigan with a pretty white blouse and denim skirt – and don’t forget some cute pink sunglasses!
