An Artist You Can’t Help But Love
There is so much to admire about Sofia Gillani’s artistry. From the dedication she puts into her craft down to her sound overall, there is no debating that this is what she was born to do. Her vocals are gritty and endearing, pulling you in with every line. And the twinkly-like production makes it feel almost like a dream while you listen. Just in time for her to cut in and remind you that is, in fact, very much real life. ‘BLEED’ is the perfect example of all of these specialties of her’s beautifully rolled into one.
“‘Bleed’ is the song dedicated to letting overflowing and overthought emotions and moments be released, in one of the most natural ways, bleeding. I was actually inspired by ancient history where they believed that bleeding out was a remedy for illnesses, but here I’ve modernised it to become this concept where the ‘illness’ of negativity, doubt and fear are being released slowly, but safely through blood. I used to actually be scared of bleeding, but now I’ve embraced it.”

We can’t talk about Sofia Gillani without mentioning some of her previous works, however. In true spooky seasons fashion, we want to talk about her track ‘Monster.’ This song is giving fear, it’s giving mystery, and it’s one we just have to put on repeat. Not to mention the music video is a cinematography masterpiece of it’s own design. She sings about someone whom she now sees for who they truly are, a monster at their core.
