THAMA’s Wooof! Has Us Wanting To

K-R&B artist THAMA is back with his first album in two years titled Wooof! We could not be more excited about it. His voice is easy to listen to, standing out among his peers. He is a talented singer-songwriter and producer who has worked with all of our favs such as NCT 127, EXO, Kid Milli, and Dynamicduo, to name a few. So he’s iconic, basically.

This album has twelve tracks with a double-feature title track. These songs encompass the harmonious blend of R&B and soul in THAMA’s style.

Tracklist:

  1. ‘Voices’
  2. ‘Baby I Know’ (title)
  3. ‘Won’t You’ (feat. Ciscero)
  4. ‘Cutty Sark’
  5. ‘Bump It Up’ (title)
  6. ‘Breeze’
  7. ‘Coffee To Go’
  8. ‘You’
  9. ‘Kaffe’ (ft. SUZANNE)
  10. ‘Shower’
  11. ‘Passion’
  12. ‘I Feel Love’

Twin Title Tracks

The first title track, ‘Baby I Know,’ encompasses his feelings about cloudy days. It is jazzy and is very easy to listen to. It features gorgeous, swoon-worthy harmonies that feel just like velvet. The song also has a unique flute and piano duet, which sets it apart from many other songs with its cheerful energy.

‘Bump It Up’ is the second title track with a witty vibe which pulls back the curtain on THAMA’s thought process on becoming one with other singers and artists worldwide. This one has a rhythm & blues and jazz fusion feel, one we can liken to that of Michael Buble. We can thank the trumpets and keys for that. They say that music is the universal language, and we could not agree with that statement more. We all speak different tongues and have very different cultures, traditions, and ways of life, so we connect through music, and we here at THP think that is a beautiful thing. In contrast to its title counterpart, it is more upbeat and cheerful.

English tracks

There are a few English tracks like ‘You,’ ‘Passion,’ and ‘I Feel Love.’ ‘Passion’ has an exciting piano and drum sound with a generally upbeat & jazzy feel. We love a good drum piece, so we enjoy this one and can only imagine that in a live setting, this would pop off.

Final Thoughts

THAMA’s Wooof! reflects his unique style, a blend of R&B and jazz, and has made his music stand out from his peers in K-Hip Hop. The album has songs that suit everyone’s tastes, whether you prefer upbeat songs, jazz, or an R&B ballad.
