Getting two of our favorite artists on one track is enough to give us our serotonin for the month, but put three of our favorite artists together, and we’ll absolutely lose it. When we heard that SOYEON of (G)I-DLE, WINTER of aespa, and LIZ of IVE would be working together to release ‘NOBODY,’ it felt like all our dreams had come true! Combining one of the best rappers of this generation with two of the best vocalists is bound to be an amazing decision, and we absolutely adore the song now that we’ve heard it.
‘NOBODY’ is a groovy love song about knowing that the person you have feelings for is the one for you. “Even if I wake up, it’s still a dream,” the girls sing, basking in the affection they feel while also sounding fierce and independent. We think this was the perfect sound to really showcase Soyeon, Winter, and Liz’s individual strengths. Crossing all our fingers that we’ll hear them perform it together at a year-end award show!
Now that we’ve had a dream collab checked off our wishlist, we’re updating that wishlist with… more collabs! To celebrate ‘NOBODY,’ we thought we’d choose some songs by (G)I-DLE, aespa, and IVE that we’d love to see Soyeon, Winter, and Liz team up on for a special remix.
(G)I-DLE – ‘HWAA’
The gorgeous vocals on ‘HWAA’ still haunt us to this day, so we think this would be a great song choice for Winter and Liz to put their own spin on! They’d be able to harmonize so well, and either one of them would nail the iconic high note.
aespa – ‘Lucid Dream’
Another vocal masterpiece that we’d love to hear a new spin on! Liz’s voice would add such a beautiful touch to a song we already can’t get enough of, and it’d be so cool to throw in a rap verse from Soyeon to add some edge and contrast the dreamy vibe.
IVE – ‘Baddie’
Going with a bolder concept this time because Soyeon exudes confidence, and Winter always shines on aespa’s darker-sounding songs! ‘Baddie’ would be such a fun one for them to tackle, and it’d also show another side of what they can do together.
