The Title Track

Starting ‘Only One’ with nothing but a piano and his voice was the perfect choice because Yedam’s voice has that power of captivating you in one single note. ‘Only One’ is a genuinely uplifting pop song that mixes several different genres, making it one of a kind. This song will make you want to sing along and dance around. ‘Only One’ feels like a hug at the end of a long day, almost a reward. It will make you forget about all your worries and pains – and that’s just how much power Yedam has with his voice and music. On top of that, the lyrics express a complicated relationship and prove just how good of a songwriter Yedam is.

The music video for ‘Only One’ didn’t disappoint us either. It captures the song’s energy perfectly with its bright colors, energetic choreography, and fun atmosphere. There is nothing this man can’t do – he sings, he writes, composes, produces, dances. ‘Only One’ is a solo debut to remember.

The Pre-Release Single: ‘Miss You’

Before his official comeback as a soloist, Yedam released a pre-release single: ‘Miss You.’ This beautiful song fits what most people think about when it comes to a vocalist as impactful as Yedam: a heartfelt ballad. Yet, the rest of ONLY ONE is nothing like this first song. Yedam even released a second version of ‘Miss You,’ the Alternative rock version. And we didn’t think it would be possible but this one may be even better than the original piano version…

It starts off with an acoustic guitar, and the instrumental builds up beautifully, adding so much to the song. It makes the already complex feelings expressed in the song much more complicated and bittersweet. The instrumental is simply chef kiss. And we can’t help but think about how powerful it would be for him to sing this version live. The vocals would be just insane.

The First Solo Mini-Album

Indeed, the b-sides in ONLY ONE follow a similar vibe as the title track. They are uplifting and joyful. And they will light up your life in the darkest days, each in their own different way. It’s also worth pointing out that Yedam wrote, composed, and produced every single track in ONLY ONE.

‘Hebeollo’

The first b-side in ONLY ONE is energetic, upbeat, and will never fail to lift your mood. The production of this track takes us by surprise as it mixes new elements you wouldn’t necessarily expect. ‘Hebeollo’ is such a fun, sweet love song we can’t stop playing, and a perfect song to complement the title track.

‘Come To Me’

‘Come To Me’ is still pop, but it is also clearly influenced by disco yet keeps the Yedam sound. It makes way for the perfect feel-good song. This is the one you will never get tired of singing along to. His vocals sound so powerful and captivate us with every line. With vocalists like Yedam, you don’t need a ballad to show how good they are.

‘Not At All’

‘Not At All’ closes off ONLY ONE in the most perfect way. The song is perfect after ‘Miss You,’ as it explores a positive view of a separation that is ultimately for the best. Even though he explores the bittersweetness and that push and pull that remains, ‘Not At All’ is about letting go of someone who isn’t good for you. The elements of soul and jazz in the song make it hit harder. It may be difficult to let go, but ultimately, ‘Not At All’ gives off a positive energy and feels like a light at the end of the tunnel.

It’s the perfect song to close the mini-album with, where he chooses himself and what is better for him. The vibes are immaculate, and ‘Not At All’ has to be one of our favorite songs in the mini-album. Yedam simply knows how to make songs that touch our hearts, and that’s what he did with every single one of these songs.
