Las Vegas 🎲 has always been one of the entertainment capitals of the world, but it’s just elevated its status with the addition of the Sphere – an immersive entertainment venue that has everyone turning their eyes. The Sphere celebrated its opening with performances from U2, but as its success has shown, more artists are jumping at the opportunity to perform inside.
Despite rumors of Harry Styles joining the lineup, next up for the Sphere is Phish, and we couldn’t be more excited! As most Phish fans know, they never play the same show twice, and we can only imagine how iconic their visuals and set designs will be inside Vegas’s illuminated ball. Even more exciting, Phish will have a unique setlist and set of visuals for each night of the show running April 18 – 21, 2024.
Let’s jump into some of our top Phish songs for their residency at the Sphere!
‘The Lizards’
There is no Phish without ‘The Lizards’ 🦎. This song is a must-hear, must-play track, giving so much opportunity for unique visuals – sunny skies along an ocean breeze is how we imagine this song to be visualized inside the Sphere. This may even be our top choice for an opening song! We can’t wait to see the Sphere transform into the “land of the lizards” with “never-ending splendor.”
‘Fluffhead’
Up next is a track from 1989 that (hopefully) no one has forgotten about! A bit quirky in its lyrics, this song reminds us of The Beatles, who definitely would be performing at the Sphere in 2023, btw! ‘Fluffhead’ would be a moment for rest during the exciting show and a time for super fans to show off their vocal range!
‘Reba’
One of our favorite tracks from the Lawn Boy album, ‘Reba,’ would be one of our top choices for song requests! We’d be wearing “lipstick, perfume, flypaper” 💄and more. Hopefully, they can see us from the front row as we blow kisses!
‘The Divided Sky’
While the Sphere projects a gorgeous sky 🌅 above, we’d get lost in the beauty of this song. A perfect song to play halfway through the show, the colorful melodies and usage of different instruments provide an endless opportunity for mesmerizing visuals across the Sphere.
‘Lushington’
Even though this song has only been played a handful of times, we hope Phish pulls this fan favorite out of the vault for the Sphere audience! Amongst Phish stans, this song is in high demand 🚨 What can we do to convince them to play it again?
